Hobark International Limited (HIL) is the parent company of the Hobark group operating in the oil and gas industry. The company was incorporated in 1998, starting as a staffing agency based in Port Harcourt. Currently we have offices in 4 countries with our head office in Lagos.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Chief Finance Officer
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Roles & Responsibilities
- The Chief Finance Officer is responsible for providing strategic financial leadership, ensuring robust financial management, and supporting sustainable value creation in the company’s operations.
- The role encompasses oversight of financial planning, capital investment, risk management, joint venture accounting, and fiscal compliance.
- Partner with the CEO and executive team to define and execute the upstream business strategy.
- Drive long-term financial planning aligned with reserve replacement, production targets, and capital efficiency.
- Identify and manage financial and operational risks specific to upstream activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 25 years’ experience in oilfield services, with at least 8 years in executive leadership.
- Familiarity with upstream oil and gas operations, including exploration, production, reservoir and rig management, is advantageous.
- Proven track record of senior leadership experience in finance, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
- Strong financial acumen with a deep understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and corporate finance.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute financial strategies that drive business growth and create value.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyse complex issues, make sound decisions, and drive results in a dynamic environment.
