Job Summary
- As the Clearing & Forwarding Officer, you will be responsible for managing import and export documentation, coordinating with regulatory agencies, and ensuring the timely clearance and delivery of consignments.
- You will interface with clients, shipping lines, and customs authorities to support seamless logistics operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and process import/export documentation in line with customs and regulatory requirements
- Liaise with customs, port authorities, shipping lines, and terminal operators to ensure timely cargo clearance
- Track and monitor shipment statuses, ensuring prompt release and delivery of consignments
- Communicate with clients concerning shipment updates, documentation requirements, and operational timelines
- Resolve clearance challenges, documentation discrepancies, and regulatory issues efficiently
Requirements
- Proven experience in clearing and forwarding within the logistics or freight sector
- Minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Strong knowledge of customs procedures, import/export laws, and logistics documentation
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under time-sensitive conditions.
Salary
N250,000 – N300,000 monthly.
