We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Cost Accountant
Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time
Industry: FMCG (Food Manufacturing)
Reporting To: Finance Manager
Job Summary
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Cost Accountant to join our team in Ibadan.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for tracking and analyzing production costs to ensure accurate product pricing and support effective financial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze costs of raw materials, labor, and overhead to determine unit product cost.
- Conduct variance analysis between actual and standard costs.
- Monitor inventory and perform periodic stock reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly cost reports.
- Support budgeting and cost standard development.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and work with procurement/production teams.
- Ensure compliance with financial and regulatory standards.
- Assist in pricing decisions for new and existing products.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years experience in a cost accounting role (preferably in manufacturing/FMCG).
- Strong knowledge of costing principles and inventory control.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Professional certification (e.g. ICAN, CMA) is an added advantage.
Salary
N250,000 – N300,000 / Month.
