We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Credit Reviewer

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • The Credit Review Officer is responsible for assessing, analysing, and validating loan requests to ensure compliance with the company’s credit policies and risk standards.
  • The officer conducts thorough document reviews, evaluates customer creditworthiness, identifies potential risks, and ensures that only quality credit applications are recommended for approval.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review all loan applications to ensure completeness and compliance with credit policy.
  • Analyse borrower financials, cash flow, bank statements, and other supporting documents.
  • Verify accuracy and authenticity of submitted documents such as offer letters, affidavits, valuation/Inspection reports, vehicle papers (VIN, engine number, registration documents)
  • Evaluate collateral value, authenticity, and adequacy (vehicle).
  • Ensure all credit reviews adhere to Voedsel Capital’s internal policies, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.
  • Prepare comprehensive credit review reports for management/approval committees
  • Work closely with Credit Relationship Officers, compliance and risk officers to balance growth with prudent risk management.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • HND / B.Sc. in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • 2 – 3 years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or loan review (financial sector preferred)
  • Knowledge of KYC, risk management, and collateral assessment
  • Excellent quantitative and qualitative analysis skills with keen attention to detail..
  • High ethical standards and sound judgment in credit decision making.
