We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Data Protection Officer (DPO)

Location: Lagos (Hybrid)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain data protection policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and other global data privacy laws.
• Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and privacy impact assessments (PIAs).
• Advise management and employees on data protection obligations and best practices.
• Serve as the primary contact for data protection authorities and regulatory bodies.
• Oversee the response to data subject access requests (DSARS) and data breach incidents.
• Collaborate with IT, Legal, and HR teams to integrate privacy by design into systems and workflows.
• Deliver staff training on data protection awareness and compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 – 6 years’ experience in data protection, privacy compliance, or information governance.
• Strong knowledge of NDPR, GDPR, and international data privacy standards.
• Professional certification such as NDPR Practitioner, CIPP/E, CIPM, or ISO 27001 is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
