Job Description

The Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas, Bonny, Rivers State, is situated in the South-South Zone of the country and was established in 2014 by the Federal Government of Nigeria. It was established with the mission of being recognized globally as the leading institution in the middle and high manpower training and development for the oil and gas industry. The Polytechnic runs National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND).

Job Title: Director of Physical Planning

Location: Bonny, Rivers

Job Summary

  • The Polytechnic Director of Physical Planning is responsible to the Rector for Physical development, master plan, evaluation and implementation, assessment, implementation of projects, preparation of estimates and returns on projects to Government, other funding agencies for grants as well as perform other assignments by the Rector.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Applicant must possess good Bachelor’s Degree/HND (minimum of second class lower/Lower Credit) in relevant fields 5 of Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Building Technology, Urban & Regional Planning, Estate Management & Valuation  from a recognized Institution with at least 18 years post qualification cognate experience or with Master’s Degree plus 15 years and/or Doctorate Degree plus 12 years post- qualification experience.
  • Must be proficient in Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet short deadlines. Must be an individual with impeccable character.
  • Must not be more than 59 years of age at the time he/she assumes duty.
  • Must possess current practicing license.
  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years professional license
