We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Location: Benin, Edo
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • An Electrical Engineer designs, develops, tests, and supervises the manufacturing of electrical systems and equipment, from power grids and motors to electronics, ensuring they meet safety codes and performance standards.
  • Key duties involve using CAD software, collaborating with teams, troubleshooting issues, analyzing requirements, and managing projects from concept to implementation, working across industries like construction, transport, and energy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design & Development: Create electrical systems, components, circuits, and devices (e.g., power generators, communication systems) using engineering principles and software.
  • Testing & Analysis: Perform complex calculations, test systems for performance and safety, and analyze electrical requirements.
  • Project Management: Oversee installation, manage budgets, agree on timelines, and ensure projects meet specifications.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams (other engineers, clients, managers) to integrate systems and meet project goals.
  • Compliance: Ensure designs and products adhere to relevant electrical codes, standards (like IEEE, NEC), and regulations.
  • Documentation: Create technical drawings, schematics, reports, and specifications.

Common Duties:

  • Use Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and other specialized software.
  • Troubleshoot electrical assemblies and resolve issues.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and technical analysis.
  • Develop maintenance and testing procedures.

Required Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism.
  • Proficiency in design software and calculation tools.
  • Knowledge of applicable electrical codes and industry standards.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
