Associates Consulting Limited – Our client is a fast growing indigenous upstream, mid-stream and downstream oil and gas group with interests in oil and gas exploration and production, gas processing, petrochemical/fertilizer production and power.

They are currently expanding with some pipeline projects around the country, and they are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Technician

Location: Akwa Ibom, Delta, Imo, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports to: Head, Pipelines Development

Role Summary

  • The Electrical Maintenance Technician will ensure the continuous operation, servicing and repair of diesel generators and welding machines used in pipeline construction.
  • The role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime during welding, coating, hydrotesting and other pipeline field activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out daily inspection of diesel generator sets.
  • Perform preventive (battery checks, load testing, alternator inspection, cleaning lubrication).
  • Inspect and service welding machines.
  • Provide standby support during critical welding operations along the ROW.
  • Provide immediate breakdown response along the ROW to minimize disruption of welding spreads.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess a Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a Trade Test in Electrical Maintenance.
