We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: English Studies Teacher

Location: Osengere, Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time
School Section: Secondary Section

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver well-structured English Language lessons
  • Teach grammar, comprehension, literature, composition, and oral English
  • Prepare lesson notes and instructional materials
  • Prepare students for internal and external examinations like competitions, SSCE & NECO.
  • Assess students’ progress through the approved measurement and test tools
  • Identify and adopt the most effective teaching approaches for the students.
  • Maintain accurate academic records and submit reports as required
  • Support students’ academic and personal development
  • Ensure classroom discipline and a positive learning environment.
  • Identify and teach skills that will develop students’ ability to work independently and communicate effectively.
  • Lead subject or identified area within the School Improvement Plan and ensure progress is at least good.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum of B.Ed / B.A Englishor equivalent (TRCN certificationis an added advantage)
  • At least one (1)year teaching experience
  • Strong command of spoken and written English
  • Good classroom management and communication skills
  • Competency in patience, creativity, and adaptability
  • Proficiency in using teaching aids and digital tools is an advantage
  • Skilled in practicing professionalism and teamwork.

Salary
N60,000 monthly.
