We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: English Studies Teacher
Location: Osengere, Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time
School Section: Secondary Section
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver well-structured English Language lessons
- Teach grammar, comprehension, literature, composition, and oral English
- Prepare lesson notes and instructional materials
- Prepare students for internal and external examinations like competitions, SSCE & NECO.
- Assess students’ progress through the approved measurement and test tools
- Identify and adopt the most effective teaching approaches for the students.
- Maintain accurate academic records and submit reports as required
- Support students’ academic and personal development
- Ensure classroom discipline and a positive learning environment.
- Identify and teach skills that will develop students’ ability to work independently and communicate effectively.
- Lead subject or identified area within the School Improvement Plan and ensure progress is at least good.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of B.Ed / B.A Englishor equivalent (TRCN certificationis an added advantage)
- At least one (1)year teaching experience
- Strong command of spoken and written English
- Good classroom management and communication skills
- Competency in patience, creativity, and adaptability
- Proficiency in using teaching aids and digital tools is an advantage
- Skilled in practicing professionalism and teamwork.
Salary
N60,000 monthly.
