Hotel Capitol is a modern and contemporary hotel that offers not only luxury but comfort at its best. The three-star hotel is strategically located at the heart of Omole Phase 1, making it easily accessible with excellent road networks to other parts of the mainland and the city of Lagos as a whole. The 32-room Hotel offers tastefully furnished deluxe executive and super executive rooms as well as one- and two-bedroom luxury suite.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Experienced Waiter

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a courteous and attentive Waiter/Waitress to provide excellent service to our guests by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a memorable dining experience.
  • The ideal candidate is customer-focused, well-groomed, and able to work effectively in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests in a warm and professional manner.
  • Present menus and provide detailed information when asked (e.g., about ingredients, special items, or recommendations).
  • Take accurate food and drink orders and deliver them in a timely manner.
  • Serve food and beverages according to service standards.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by checking on tables regularly and responding promptly to requests or complaints.
  • Clear tables, clean dining areas, and reset for incoming guests.
  • Process payments and issue receipts.
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards in the dining area.
  • Assist other team members during busy periods and collaborate with kitchen and bar staff.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Previous experience as a waiter or in customer service
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage service.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Polite, presentable, and professional demeanor.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
