Job Title: Farm Supervisor

Job Description

  • The farm supervisor oversees farm operations, which include managing and training staff, overseeing crop cultivation and harvesting, monitoring livestock, maintaining equipment and facilities, ensuring quality control, and maintaining accurate records of farm activities.
  • Supervisors also handle financial aspects like budgeting and expenses, enforce safety regulations, and report on production to farm managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise farm workers and interns, assigning tasks, setting work schedules, and ensuring adherence to rules and procedures.
  • Crop Management: Oversee planting, cultivation, water management, and harvesting of crops, making decisions on crop rotation and fertilization to ensure productivity.
  • Livestock Management: Monitor and maintain the health, welfare, and feeding of farm animals, coordinating feeding schedules and ensuring biosecurity protocols are followed.
  • Operations Monitoring: Oversee daily farm activities, ensuring the efficient and safe operation of the farm.
  • Quality Control: Inspect the quality of produce, monitor livestock conditions, and implement procedures to ensure high-quality output.
  • Equipment & Facility Maintenance: Manage and maintain farm machinery, equipment, and facilities, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of farm conditions, machinery maintenance, production data, and staff activities.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure the farm complies with health and safety regulations and implements established safety programs.
  • Financial & Budget Management: Analyze farm expenses, manage budgets, and control resource allocation to ensure profitability.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with farm managers, team members, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Reporting: Prepare reports on time, equipment, materials, and production for management.

Requirements

  • Interested candidates should possess an HND qualification with at least 4 years work experience.

Salary
N100,000 – N200,000 monthly.
