We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Fitting Foreman

Location: Rivers

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate a team of fitters and welders, overseeing all fitting and fabrication tasks on the offshore installation.
• Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings, P&IDs, and isometric drawings to plan and execute fitting work.
• Ensure that all fitting activities, including material layout, cutting, shaping, and fit-up, adhere strictly to project quality requirements and safety protocols.
• Conduct regular inspections of work in progress to ensure accurate dimensions, proper alignment, and compliance with specifications.
• Coordinate with the QA-QC Supervisor and Welding Foreman to ensure that all fit-up work is ready for welding and meets all required tolerances.
• Manage the allocation of tools, materials, and personnel to optimize workflow and meet project schedules.
• Monitor and track the progress of all fitting activities, reporting on daily accomplishments and any issues or delays.
• Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training to the fitting team to improve skills and ensure correct procedures are followed.
• Ensure that all personnel under your supervision are following proper safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and all relevant permits.
• Lead by example to foster a strong safety culture and ensure all team members understand their responsibilities.
• Maintain accurate records of all fitting activities, including material traceability and dimensional control reports.
• Coordinate with other trades and supervisors on the platform to ensure a seamless workflow.

Requirements

• Education/Professional Certification: Relevant technical diploma or trade qualification in fitting or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in fitting and fabrication, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Specific Bonga Offshore Experience is a must.
• Proven experience in a variety of fitting tasks, including pipe and structural steel fit-up, in different materials (e.g., carbon steel, stainless steel).
• Must hold valid offshore certifications such as BOSIET, HUET, and a valid medical certificate.
• Expert ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, P&IDs, and isometric sketches.
• Strong leadership and team management skills to direct and motivate a crew of fitters.
• In-depth knowledge of industry codes, standards (e.g., ASME, API), and quality control procedures related to fit-up.
• Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot fitting issues and ensure quality.
• Good communication skills to effectively report progress and coordinate with other teams.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a challenging offshore environment.
