Dozzy Limited – Our Oil and Gas sector has one of the largest petroleum storage facilities in the country with a capacity of 120 million metric tons located in Calabar, Lagos, Port Harcourt and Onitsha. Our Manufacturing sector specializes in the production of “Powerflo” lubricants (for automotive and industrial use), specialized household plastic products, industrial and medical oxygen, LPG gases, and Acetylene among others.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Gas Plant Manager

Job Summary

  • The Gas Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) plant, ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable operations.
  • The role includes managing staff, monitoring production and distribution, maintaining compliance with safety regulations, controlling costs, and driving sales growth while safeguarding the company’s assets and reputation.

Key Responsibilities
Operations Management:

  • Oversee daily operations of LPG storage, dispensing, and distribution.
  • Ensure accurate meter readings, stock management, and daily reconciliations.
  • Monitor equipment performance and coordinate timely maintenance and repairs.

Health, Safety & Compliance:

  • Enforce strict adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards.
  • Conduct regular safety drills, inspections, and risk assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and company policies.

Financial & Sales Management:

  • Monitor daily sales performance, revenue, and expenses.
  • Ensure accurate cash handling, deposits, and reconciliation with MoniePoint/other platforms.
  • Implement strategies to increase plant sales (distributors, end-users, bulk supply).

Staff Management:

  • Supervise plant staff (cashiers, supervisors, truck drivers, operators).
  • Develop training programs for operational efficiency and safety awareness.
  • Enforce discipline, performance monitoring, and reporting standards.

Customer & Stakeholder Relations:

  • Build strong relationships with distributors, bulk customers, and corporate partners.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through timely delivery and reliable service.
  • Represent the company in dealings with regulators, suppliers, and community leaders.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Operations & Efficiency:

  • Stock Accuracy:≤ 1% variance between book stock and physical stock.
  • Downtime:< 3% plant downtime monthly (due to equipment failure).
  • Utilization Rate:Maintain > 90% capacity utilization during peak demand.

Financial Performance:

  • Daily Sales Target Achievement:≥ 95% achievement of sales target.
  • Revenue Growth:≥ 10% month-on-month growth (adjusted seasonally).
  • Expense Control:Operating expenses ≤ 5% of monthly revenue.

Health, Safety & Compliance:

  • Zero Lost-Time Incidents (LTI):Maintain accident-free operations.
  • Regulatory Compliance:100% compliance with government regulations.
  • Safety Drills:Conduct at least 1 drill per quarter.

Customer & Market Growth:

  • Customer Retention:≥ 90% distributor/customer repeat purchase rate.
  • New Customer Acquisition:Add at least 5 new bulk/distributor customers per quarter.
  • Customer Satisfaction:≥ 90% satisfaction rating (via feedback surveys).

People & Leadership:

  • Staff Discipline:< 2 disciplinary cases per quarter.
  • Training & Development:100% of staff receive at least one training session per year.
  • Employee Retention:Maintain staff turnover below 10% annually.
