Job Title: Head, Finance and Human Resources

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers 
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Summary

  • The role provides leadership across the company’s Finance and Human Resource Services functions, ensuring financial integrity, effective resource management, and organizational capability.
  • It drives financial strategy, risk management, and transparent reporting, while shaping human capital strategy to attract, develop, and retain top talent aligned with long-term growth goals.
  • The position oversees accounting, budgeting, forecasting, taxation, treasury, and investments, ensuring compliance and profitability through cost optimization and capital efficiency.
  • It also leads HR operations, including workforce planning, performance management, and employee engagement, while promoting diversity, inclusion, and a high-performance culture. By leveraging analytics and technology, the role supports data-driven decisions, enhances productivity, and strengthens leadership pipelines for sustainable growth.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field;
  • Master’s degree is an advantage.
  • Must hold either or both ICAN and CIPM certifications.
  • 10 – 15 years of professional experience, including at least 8 years in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Strong financial acumen, risk management, and regulatory compliance expertise.
  • Advanced proficiency in data analytics and business intelligence tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR strategy, operations, and labor laws.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Analytical, data-driven, and performance-oriented approach to leadership.
