Job Title: HR Officer
Location:Port Harcourt, Rivers
Job Summary
- The HR Officer will assist in implementing HR policies, managing employee relations, supporting recruitment and onboarding, and ensuring compliance with company standards and labor regulations.
- The ideal candidate must be professional, organized, and passionate about people management.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the recruitment and selection process — posting vacancies, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews.
- Support onboarding and orientation programs for new hires.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
- Handle employee leave, attendance, and payroll documentation.
- Assist in performance management and employee appraisal processes.
- Support training and development initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and company HR policies.
- Manage employee relations and address staff queries professionally.
- Participate in HR reports preparation and departmental documentation.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in an oil & gas, hospitality, or corporate environment.
- Good knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices.
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, HR software is an advantage).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- High level of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism.
