Job Title: HSE Inspector
Location: Enugu
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with HSE policies and standards.
- Identify unsafe acts and conditions and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist in implementing and monitoring HSE programs, policies, and procedures.
- Support incident and accident investigations, and follow up on corrective and preventive measures.
- Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and HSE training sessions.
- Maintain accurate HSE documentation and assist in preparing regular reports.
- Ensure adherence to statutory and company safety regulations at all times.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Higher National Diploma (HND), or Bachelor’s (B.Sc) Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years experience as an HSE Officer or Inspector, preferably within the mining or heavy industrial sector.
- Sound understanding of HSE regulations, risk assessment, and hazard control.
- Good communication, observation, and reporting skills.
- Relevant HSE certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or ISPON will be an added advantage.
