Associates Consulting Limited – Our client is a Fast-growing Indigenous Upstream, Midstream and Downstream Oil and Gas Group with interests in oil and gas exploration and production, gas processing, petrochemical/fertilizer production, and power.

They are currently expanding with some pipeline projects around the country, and they are recruiting to fill the position below: 

Job Title: Hydrotest and Pigging Supervisor

Locations: Akwa Ibom, Delta, Imo & Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports to: Head, Pipelines Development

Role Summary

  • The Hydrotest and Pigging Supervisor will be responsible for planning, supervising and executing hydrostatic testing and pipeline pigging operations to verify pipeline integrity, strength and cleanliness.
  • The role ensures all testing activities are conducted safely, efficiently and in compliance with project specifications, industry codes (API 1110, ASME B31.4/B31.8) and requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define test sections, calculate test pressures and confirm water sourcing/disposal arrangements.
  • Supervise pipeline filling, pressurization, holding and depressurization in accordance with approved procedures
  • Supervise gauging, cleaning, batching and drying pig runs before and after hydrotest.
  • Confirm cleanliness and dryness levels meet acceptance criteria before handover.
  • Maintain hydrotest logs, pigging reports and pressure charts.

Requirements

  • A Diploma in any course or Trade Test Certificate.
  • Minimum of 7 years relevant experience.
