Job Description

TAAS Group of School is a school made up of Nursery, Primary and Secondary school. The school’s academic programme is divided into two sections: Quran and Arabic section which is handled by specific teachers and the western Educational section handle by different teachers.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: ICT Teacher

Location: Apata, Ibadan – Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Summary

  • We are looking for an experienced ICT Teacher with 5–10 years of teaching/industry experience to join our academic team.
  • The ideal candidate must have advanced technology skills (coding, graphics design, and artificial intelligence) and the ability to train students to develop digital competencies that meet global standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging ICT lessons across different classes using modern teaching methodologies.
  • Teach coding/programming (Python, JavaScript, Scratch, etc.), graphics design (CorelDRAW, Photoshop, Canva, etc.), and artificial intelligence basics (machine learning, AI applications, robotics where applicable).
  • Prepare students for national and international ICT competitions, certifications, and project showcases.
  • Design and implement practical ICT projects that encourage creativity, problem-solving, and innovation.
  • Stay up to date with global trends in ICT and integrate them into teaching practice.
  • Collaborate with other teachers to integrate technology across subjects.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of ICT laboratories and resources.
  • Mentor students with an interest in pursuing ICT-related careers.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage).
  • 5–10 years of experience in teaching ICT and/or working in the tech industry.
  • Strong expertise in coding/programming, graphics design, and artificial intelligence.
  • Excellent classroom management, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to train and inspire students in practical technology projects.
  • Must reside in Ibadan and live close to the Apata region for easy commute.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of web development and mobile app development.
  • Experience in robotics and STEM-related extracurriculars.
  • Familiarity with online learning tools and e-learning platforms.
  • Ability to integrate ICT into 21st-century teaching practices.
