Enoella Consult – Our client, a reputable Engineering and Oil & Gas Service company, is recruiting highly skilled and experienced professionals to fill the position below:

Job Title: Instrumentation & Control Draftsman

Location: Nigeria

Job Summary

  • The Instrument & Control Draftsman creates and modifies I&C drawings required for the conceptual study,  such as system architecture diagrams and preliminary layout concepts, working under the direction of the  I&C Engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drawing Creation: Generate preliminary I&C drawings using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD), including  control system architecture diagrams, network diagrams, and potentially conceptual instrument  location plans or panel layouts based on sketches and instructions.
  • Drawing Updates: Revise drawings based on design development and review comments.
  • Symbol Usage: Ensure correct and consistent use of standard ISA symbols and drawing conventions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with I&C engineers to accurately represent control system concepts and  instrumentation interfaces.
  • Document Control: Manage drawing files according to project procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or certification in Engineering Drafting/Design Technology, Electrical/Instrumentation Drafting,  or equivalent.
  • Experience (typically 3+ years) in drafting I&C diagrams for oil and gas or related industries.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD).
  • Understanding of standard, I&C symbols (ISA standards), system architecture diagrams, and basic layout  conventions.
  • Proven track record in Oil & Gas Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent knowledge of international design codes and standards.
  • Proficiency in relevant engineering design and drafting software.
  • Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced project environment.
