We manage and implement comprehensive monitoring, evaluation, and learning projects, including methods to assess advocacy and long term policy change efforts. Our team typically utilizes a blend of quantitative and qualitative methods to conduct rigorous data collection for design, implementation and evaluation of projects, programmes and policies.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: ISO 17025 Internal Auditor (QHSE)

Location: Maryland, Lagos

Job Summary

• We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-driven ISO 17025 Internal Auditor to support our laboratory operations by ensuring full compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements, strengthening internal controls, and improving laboratory processes and performance.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing workflows, auditing technical operations, identifying gaps, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with laboratory teams and management to identify nonconformities, improvement needs, and areas of operational focus.
• Plan, schedule, and conduct internal audits in line with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements and company procedures.
• Monitor and advise on all QHSE matters within the laboratory to ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and accreditation requirements.
• Conduct site and laboratory visits to assess equipment performance, environmental conditions, technical operations, and process adherence.
• Interview laboratory personnel and management to evaluate competency, the effectiveness of processes, and alignment with accreditation requirements.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret technical and operational data to identify trends, risks, and performance issues.
• Develop, recommend, and support the implementation of improved workflows, corrective actions, and process strategies.
• Prepare detailed internal audit reports, including findings, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and opportunities for improvement.
• Monitor the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions to ensure sustained compliance with ISO/IEC 17025.
• Ensure laboratory documentation, records, and quality management system processes are up to date and compliant.
• Stay current with industry standards, laboratory best practices, and technological developments relevant to ISO/IEC 17025.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (B.Eng), Laboratory Science, or a related technical field.
• In-depth understanding of ISO/IEC 17025 and demonstrable experience in laboratory audits or quality management.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and other management systems is an added advantage.
• 3–5 years experience in laboratory science, research, internal auditing, or relevant technical roles.
• Strong risk assessment, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent understanding of laboratory workflows, test methods, measurement processes, and calibration requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare professional audit documentation.
• Proficiency in quality management or laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
• Good interpersonal, interviewing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience with team coordination or supervision is an advantage.
• Must reside in Lagos.

Salary
N200,000 – 250,000 / month.
