Job Role
- We are seeking a competent, proactive, and detail-oriented Junior Lawyer to join their legal team.
- The ideal candidate will support the firm’s legal operations through effective research, drafting, case preparation, and client representation, while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and delivering high-quality legal services.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years post–call to bar experience, with verifiable exposure to legal practice within a reputable law firm or corporate legal department.
- Strong understanding of Nigerian laws, including civil and criminal procedure, corporate and commercial law, regulatory compliance, contract law, and litigation processes.
- Excellent legal research skills, with the ability to interpret statutes, case laws, and precedents effectively.
- Proven drafting ability, including drafting of contracts, court processes, legal opinions, agreements, letters, and other legal documents with clarity and precision.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess legal issues, identify risks, and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate legal arguments clearly and professionally.
- Competent advocacy skills, with confidence in court appearances, client representation, and handling legal proceedings when required.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple files, and handle tasks with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workloads in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professional conduct, with commitment to ethical legal practice
Salary
N170,000 Monthly.
