Job Title: Kitchen Accountant

Location: Wuse Zone 6, Abuja
Position Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Kitchen Accountant to join our team.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the kitchen’s financial records, ensuring the smooth operation of food cost accounting, inventory management, and supplier transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records of kitchen expenses, including food, beverages, and other supplies.
  • Track inventory levels and assist in stocktaking.
  • Monitor and analyze food cost and wastage to help improve kitchen efficiency and profitability.
  • Process supplier invoices, ensuring timely payments and adherence to agreed terms.
  • Prepare reports on kitchen expenditure, including food cost percentages and budget variances.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen and finance teams to ensure compliance with cost control procedures.
  • Assist in preparing budgets for kitchen operations.
  • Reconcile inventory and manage stock orders in coordination with the kitchen staff.

Requirements

  • A Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Kitchen Accountant, Finance Assistant, or similar role in the food and beverage industry.
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food costing.
  • Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to prepare financial reports.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
