Job Summary
- We are seeking a dynamic and resourceful Learning and Development (L&D) Officer to join our growing team.
- The ideal candidate is passionate about employee growth, organizational development, and building a culture of continuous learning.
- You will be responsible for identifying training needs, designing learning programs, and delivering effective training interventions that enhance individual and organizational performance.
- This role requires strong communication skills, instructional design expertise, and the ability to manage multiple learning initiatives across departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct training needs assessments across teams and departments to identify skills gaps
- Design and deliver engaging learning programs (online and in-person) tailored to various learning styles
- Coordinate external training providers and internal subject matter experts where applicable
- Create, update, and manage training calendars and employee development plans
- Develop learning materials, manuals, e-learning content, and onboarding documents
- Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback surveys, assessments, and performance metrics
- Collaborate with HR and leadership to align learning initiatives with business goals
- Track and maintain accurate training records, reports, and KPIs
- Recommend and implement learning technologies (LMS platforms, virtual tools, etc.)
- Facilitate workshops, coaching sessions, and team development programs
- Support leadership development and succession planning activities
- Stay updated on industry trends, training methods, and adult learning principles
- Support employee engagement initiatives that foster a culture of learning and growth
- Provide regular reports and insights to management on learning and development outcomes
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Psychology, or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in learning and development or corporate training
- Solid knowledge of instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles
- Proven experience in developing and delivering training programs and materials
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and virtual training tools
- Excellent facilitation, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organizational and project management abilities
- Analytical mindset with the ability to measure and report training impact
- Proficient in MS Office tools and basic design tools (e.g., Canva, PowerPoint, Articulate 360 is a plus)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- A professional certification (CIPM, SHRM, ATD, etc.) is an added advantage.
Salary
NGN150,000 Monthly
