We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Legal and Compliance Officer

Location: Lagos

Role Overview

  • The Legal and Compliance Officer will ensure that Inab Realty Ltd. operates within all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • You will handle contract drafting and negotiation, oversee compliance programs, review property documents, and mitigate legal risks, helping the company maintain a strong legal standing while supporting business growth.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Legal Advisory & Documentation
  • Draft, review, and negotiate property sales agreements, leases, MOUs, and partnership contracts.
  • Verify property titles, deeds, and transaction documents before finalization.
  • Provide legal opinions and guidance to management on transactions and company activities.

Compliance Management:

  • Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the company complies with CAC filings, tax regulations, SCUML and other regulatory financial and statutory requirements.
  • Maintain communication with government agencies and regulatory bodies.

Risk & Governance:

  • Identify legal risks and propose practical solutions.
  • Keep up to date with Nigerian real estate and corporate law changes.
  • Maintain company records, board resolutions, and corporate governance documents.

Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience:    

  • LLB from a recognized institution and BL from the Nigerian Law School (mandatory).
  • Minimum 2 years post-call experience, preferably in real estate or corporate legal practice.

Core Skills:

  • Strong understanding of Nigerian property laws, corporate compliance, and contracts.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and research skills.
  • High attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
