Job Title: MEP Engineer

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • The MEP Engineer will be responsible for overseeing all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works within large-scale structural construction projects.
  • The ideal candidate must have deep technical knowledge, proven experience managing MEP systems in structural construction, and the ability to work cross-functionally with design, civil, and project teams to ensure seamless integration of services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the planning, design, and execution of MEP works on structural construction projects.
  • Coordinate with architects, civil/structural engineers, and subcontractors to ensure MEP systems are effectively integrated.
  • Review and validate MEP design drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.
  • Ensure compliance with international standards, codes, and project requirements.
  • Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of all MEP systems.
  • Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, and progress reports related to MEP works.
  • Implement and enforce safety, quality, and sustainability standards across all MEP activities.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and site teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., COREN, PMP, CEng, LEED) are an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 12 years’ professional experience in MEP engineering, with at least 7 years in project leadership roles.
  • Proven experience delivering MEP works in large-scale structural construction projects (e.g., high-rise buildings, bridges, heavy infrastructure).
  • Strong project management and leadership skills with excellent communication and collaboration ability.
  • In-depth knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and other design/project management tools.
