St. Dominic Catholic Hospital is a 64-bed hospital located in Ogungbade off New Ife road in Ibadan. St. Dominic Catholic Hospital is the vision of the Dominican Sisters of St. Catherine of Siena (Italy). We offer various medical services such as: General medicine, internal medicine, O & G, Laboratory, and Radiology, to mention just a few. The hospital is run in collaboration with foreign partners. We are registered and licensed by the Corporate Affairs Commission and the Ministry of Health. Also, we are accredited by the NHIS as both primary and secondary health care providers.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Nurse Assistant

Location: Egbeda LGA residence, Ibadan – Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports to: Registered Nurse / Department Supervisor

Job Summary

• The Nurse Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the nursing team to provide high-quality patient care.
• Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Nurse Assistant will assist with basic nursing care, perform routine tasks, and ensure the comfort and well-being of patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Assist with basic care needs, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Vital Signs: Take and record vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
• Mobility Assistance: Help patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning.
• Nutrition and Hydration: Assist with feeding, serving meals, and ensuring patients have access to water and other fluids.
• Hygiene and Environment: Maintain a clean and safe environment, including patient rooms and common areas.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Documentation: Accurately document patient information and care provided.

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess an HND, OND, SSCE / GCE / NECO qualification with 2 – 5 years work experience.
• Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical Ability: Ability to lift, move, and transfer patients safely.

Working Conditions:

• Work Environment: Hospital or healthcare facility.
• Shift Work: May include day, evening, night, or rotating shifts.

Salary
N45,000 – N55,000 monthly.
