Job Title: Procurement Officer

Job Description
Description of Function:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to manage the company’s procurement and supply chain operations.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing vendors, negotiating contracts, expediting purchase orders, and ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery of goods and services.
  • This role requires a strong understanding of procurement processes within the Oil & Gas/EPC sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the procurement cycle from requisition to delivery.
  • Prepare, review, and expedite purchase orders to guarantee timely supply.
  • Source and evaluate vendors while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
  • Negotiate favorable terms and contracts to maximize cost savings.
  • Monitor and manage inventory, ensuring availability of critical items.
  • Collaborate with finance to reconcile invoices and ensure timely vendor payments.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulations.
  • Support budget planning and cost-control measures.

Experience and Skills

  • B.Sc. in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3 – 5 years’ proven experience as a Procurement Officer or in a similar role.
  • Experience in Oil & Gas / EPC industry is an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
  • Proficiency in procurement and ERP software.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and reporting.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Professional certification (CIPS or equivalent) is a strong advantage.

Salary
N200,000 – N250,000 Monthly.
