Job Description

Snowview Support Services Limited (SSSL) operates within the telecommunications and oil & gas sectors across Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa. In the telecommunications sector, SSSL provides BTS infrastructure services, including passive maintenance, BTS upgrades, and BTS acquisition/build projects. In the oil and gas sector, the company is actively involved in the procurement and supply of production chemicals, drilling fluids, equipment, materials, and the provision of laboratory services.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Project Accountant

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, monitor, and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
  • Track project costs and expenses to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
  • Review and process vendor invoices, expense claims, and project-related payments.
  • Prepare periodic financial reports and analysis for ongoing projects.
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support project managers in financial decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain proper documentation and records for all project financial activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Professional certification such as ICAN or ACCA is an advantage).
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in project accounting, preferably within the telecommunications or engineering sector.
  • Strong knowledge of project accounting principles and practices.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on efficiency.
  • Knowledge of telecom project operations is an advantage.
