We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Project Controls Manager

Location: Uyo, Akwa Ibom

Role Summary

  • The Project Controls Manager will lead planning, monitoring, and controlling of cost, schedule, and performance for the Ibom International Hospital project.
  • The role will ensure ≥95% of project milestones are achieved on schedule, project cost variance is kept within ±5%, forecasts are ≥95% accurate, and 100% of scope changes are tracked and approved through change control, while driving transparency, risk mitigation, and governance.

Key Responsibilities
Cost Control and Budgeting:

  • Prepare, manage, and control project budgets, ensuring variance is maintained within ±5% of approved values.
  • Track commitments, expenditures, and variances, delivering a maximum forecast accuracy in cost projections.
  • Work closely with Finance and Treasury to align reporting with funding requirements.

Project Planning and Scheduling:

  • Develop and maintain master project schedules integrating construction, procurement, and equipment timelines.
  • Track milestone achievements, ensuring ≥95% adherence and limiting schedule slippage to <2 weeks per quarter.
  • Apply earned value management (EVM) with a reporting accuracy.

Risk and Change Management:

  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks, ensuring ≥95% of high-priority mitigation actions are closed on time.
  • Enforce strict change control procedures with 100% of scope, cost, and schedule changes tracked and approved.
  • Reduce unapproved change orders by ≥10% over project duration.

Reporting and Governance:

  • Deliver timely performance reports (S-curve, variance, cost-to-complete) with 100% on-time reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with governance structures and contractual obligations, with zero audit exceptions.

Team and Stakeholder Coordination:

  • Lead the project controls team to deliver accurate reporting and monitoring.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and HSE teams to ensure alignment, delivering ≥95% of project milestones as scheduled.

Minimum Recruitment Standards

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Finance, or related field.
  • Preferred certifications: PMP, CCP, PSP.
  • 8–12 years of project controls experience, including ≥3–5 years in similar roles.
  • Strong expertise in Primavera P6, MS Project, cost control, ERP.
  • Proven skills in EVM, critical path, and variance analysis.
