Job Description:
The Project Manager will lead the implementation of a USAID-supported peacebuilding project aimed at fostering collaboration and conflict resolution between farmer and herder communities in the Niger Delta. Responsibilities include strategic planning, financial and operational oversight, security management, and stakeholder engagement. The manager will supervise a diverse team, ensure compliance with donor and organizational policies, and coordinate with government officials, traditional leaders, and civil society organizations. Key duties involve preparing work plans, budgets, forecasts, and donor reports, as well as monitoring and evaluating project activities to ensure impact and sustainability. The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to navigate complex conflict dynamics.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Peacebuilding, Conflict Resolution, Political Science, or related field.
5–8 years of relevant experience, including 4 years in a management role.
Deep understanding of conflict dynamics in Delta State and the Niger Delta region.
Proven ability to manage multi-stakeholder projects and teams.
Strong planning, budgeting, and reporting skills.
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Willingness to travel regularly and work in rural areas.
