Job Title: Quality Assurance Supervisor (Lubricants)

Job Summary
- We are seeking a highly competent and experienced Quality Assurance Supervisor (Lubricants) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemicals, lubricants and operations within the Oil & Gas and/or manufacturing sectors, with cognate experience in Plastics manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Management Systems – Implement, and continuously improve quality management systems (QMS), procedures, and processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Product Specifications & Standards – Ensure to adhere to product specifications to improve production efficiency and quality outcomes.
- Quality Control Testing – Continuously conduct and supervise quality control checks on raw materials, packaging materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure they meet established standards.
- Non-Conformance Management – Continuously monitor the control, segregation, and disposition of non-conforming products, ensuring proper documentation of QC Pass/Reject status.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work closely along with the QA/QC Manager and Production, Maintenance, and Procurement teams to identify root causes of quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Teamwork – Collaborate with other QA/QC staff in strategy implementations, performance evaluation, skills development, and workforce planning.
- Customer Feedback & Complaints – Work with the QA/QC Manager to monitor customer feedback and complaints, identify recurring issues, and ensure corrective measures to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Reporting & Documentation – Prepare and submit accurate daily, weekly and monthly QA/QC shift activity reports to QA/QC Manager.
- Compliance & Safety – Ensure QA/QC activities comply with oil and gas industry regulations, company standards, and HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) requirements.
Requirements
- B.Sc. or HND in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Applied Chemistry or other relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a well structured manufacturing industry in similar capacity.
- Knowledge of quality management systems, including ISO 9001, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate quality-related issues
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards (eg: ISO 9001, SAE. API, ASTM, etc.).
- Proficiency in engineering software and maintenance management systems is an advantage.
- Membership of relevant professional bodies is desirable.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving skills, and high sense of responsibility.
