About the Role
- We are seeking an experienced Recovery and Debt Collections Manager to oversee field recovery operations, manage delinquent accounts, and drive repayment performance across the North Region.
- The ideal candidate has strong leadership, negotiation, and field experience, with a track record of improving portfolio recovery rates.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage regional debt recovery and collection teams.
- Develop and implement effective collection strategies to reduce defaults.
- Conduct field visits to assess portfolio quality and recover overdue payments.
- Collaborate with Sales and Risk teams on repossessions and delinquency control.
- Investigate and report cases of fraud or unethical practices.
- Train and guide field agents on collections and repossession procedures.
- Track collection metrics and prepare regular performance reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Finance, Business, Credit Risk, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in debt recovery, field collections, or credit control (Microfinance, Fintech, or Banking).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Proven experience managing field-based teams.
- Strong knowledge of the Northern region and willingness to travel extensively.
