Job Title: Regional Driver (Lagos – Ghana)

Job Summary
- We are seeking a skilled and reliable Regional Driver to join our team.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting passengers safely to the designated routes.
- This role requires a strong commitment to safety, professionalism, excellent driving skills and management of passengers from Lagos to Ghana.
- The Regional Driver is responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely transportation of passengers across designated routes within the West Africa region.
- The role requires compliance with national and regional transport laws, company policies, and cross-border regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely drive company vehicles for official assignments across West African routes (interstate and cross-border).
- Ensure passengers’ safety, comfort, and luggage security during all trips.
- Managing passengers and ensuring their proper delivery.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules; avoid unauthorized diversions.
Vehicle Maintenance & Care:
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections (fuel, tyres, brakes, lights, oil, water, spare tools).
- Ensure vehicles are kept clean, serviced, and roadworthy at all times.
- Promptly report any mechanical issues, damages, or required repairs.
- Maintain fuel consumption and mileage logs for accountability.
Compliance & Safety:
- Adhere to traffic laws, ECOWAS transport protocols, and company driving policies
- Comply with customs, immigration, and security checks at border crossings.
- Follow all safety procedures including passenger safety briefings, use of seatbelts, and emergency protocols.
- Ensure no unauthorized goods or persons are transported.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate trip logs, delivery notes, passenger manifests, waybills, and expense records.
- Submit reports of incidents, delays, accidents, or security threats.
- Keep updated licenses, permits, and cross-border documentation.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of SSCE/OND or equivalent.
- Valid and up-to-date Driver’s License (Class appropriate) and ECOWAS cross-border permit is required.
- Minimum of 5 years professional regional driving experience.
- Good knowledge of West African road networks, borders, and traffic regulations.
- Experience driving long distances and managing road/travel stress.
- Basic mechanical/vehicle troubleshooting skills.
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent driving skills and accident-free track record.
- Ability to communicate in English (French is an added advantage for Francophone West African routes).
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- High sense of responsibility, integrity, and discipline.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure or during emergencies.
