Job Description

TAAS College, Ibadan is a Co-educational institution established in the Islamic tradition at KM 15, Abeokuta Road, Amunigun Village, Bode Igbo, Ibadan. The Nursery and primary school was upgraded to a secondary school by the governing council as a result of a remarkable acceptance by the Muslim Community and within a short period of existence. The college, which is enriched with stately built school premises in a serene and conducive environment with modern facilities, commenced operations in 2005.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Security Man

Location: Apata / Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • TAAS College is seeking a highly disciplined, vigilant, and experienced Security Man to ensure the safety and security of students, staff, visitors, and school property.
  • The ideal candidate must have strong observational skills, a professional attitude, and a proven background in security operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety and security of students, staff, visitors, and school premises at all times
  • Control access to the school premises by monitoring entry and exit points
  • Conduct regular patrols to detect and prevent security breaches, theft, or vandalism
  • Monitor security equipment and report any suspicious activity promptly
  • Enforce school security policies, rules, and procedures
  • Respond swiftly and appropriately to emergencies and incidents
  • Write clear incident and daily security reports
  • Collaborate with school management and law enforcement agencies when required
  • Maintain a professional, calm, and respectful conduct at all times.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 – 8 years proven work experience as a security personnel
  • Previous experience in a school or institutional environment is an added advantage
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English (knowledge of Yoruba is an advantage)
  • Physically fit, alert, and able to work long hours or shifts
  • High level of integrity, discipline, and reliability
  • Good observational and decision-making skills
  • Must have no criminal record
  • Applicants must reside in Ibadan or be willing to relocate close to the school.

Professional Requirements:

  • Security training or certification is an added advantage
  • Experience in access control, patrol duties, and incident reporting
  • Basic knowledge of emergency response and safety procedures

Age Requirement:

  • Preferably between 30 – 50 years.

Residence Requirement

  • Must reside within Ibadan or be willing to relocate close to the school.

Salary
N40,000 – N55,000 monthly.
