Job Title: Security Officer

Position Overview

  • The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of Dexterity Global Group’s premises, assets, staff, and visitors.
  • This role involves regular patrolling, monitoring surveillance equipment, controlling access points, and responding to security incidents.
  • The ideal candidate will be vigilant, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities
Patrolling and Surveillance:

  • Regularly patrol the premises to deter and detect signs of intrusion or unusual activity.
  • Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to identify and assess potential security threats. resources.workable.com

Access Control:

  • Authorize and monitor the entrance and exit of employees, visitors, and vehicles to prevent unauthorized access. resources.workable.com

Incident Response:

  • Respond promptly to alarms and security incidents, assess the situation, and take appropriate action, including alerting emergency services when necessary. resources.workable.com

Reporting:

  • Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, observations, and any incidents.
  • Prepare and submit reports on significant occurrences and security breaches. jobzilla.ng

Safety Protocols:

  • Secure all exits, doors, and windows after operations to ensure the facility is protected.
  • Provide assistance to individuals in need and ensure compliance with company safety policies. resources.workable.com

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Senior School Certificate.
  • Proven experience as a security officer or guard.
  • Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety.
  • Excellent surveillance and observation skills.
  • Familiarity with report writing.
  • Tech-savvy with experience in surveillance systems.
  • Training in First Aid/BLS and self-defense is a plus.
  • Registration as a security officer is preferred.
