Job Title: Siesmic Interpreter

About the Role

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Seismic Interpreter to join our geoscience team.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting seismic data to support exploration, field development, and reservoir characterization efforts.
  • This role is critical in identifying subsurface structures and potential hydrocarbon reservoirs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret 2D and 3D seismic datasets to generate structural and stratigraphic maps
  • Integrate seismic interpretation with well data, geological models, and petrophysical data
  • Identify and map potential hydrocarbon traps and prospects
  • Provide geophysical input to reservoir models and drilling plans
  • Participate in prospect evaluation, risk assessment, and volumetric estimation
  • Work collaboratively with geologists, reservoir engineers, and drilling teams
  • Prepare and present technical reports and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders
  • Stay updated on advancements in seismic processing and interpretation technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geophysics, Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant industry experience in seismic interpretation
  • Strong proficiency in interpretation software such as Petrel, Kingdom, or similar tools
  • Solid understanding of seismic acquisition and processing principles
  • Experience with both exploration and field development projects
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in [deepwater, onshore, frontier, etc. – customize based on your operation]
  • Familiarity with quantitative interpretation and seismic inversion techniques
  • Exposure to machine learning or AI tools in geoscience.
