We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Site Structural Engineer

Location: Uyo, Akwa Ibom 
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Summary

  • The Site Engineer (Structural) will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all structural engineering works for the Ibom International Hospital project.
  • The role ensures ≥95% of structural activities are delivered on schedule, 100% compliance with design specifications and structural codes, and ≥90% closure of site-related structural issues promptly, while maintaining strict quality and HSE standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise structural construction activities, ensuring ≥95% adherence to approved work schedules, drawings, and methods.
  • Review and verify structural designs, shop drawings, and reinforcement detailing, achieving 100% compliance with building codes, seismic, and hospital structural standards.
  • Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance, ensuring ≥90% of identified structural defects or non-conformities are corrected within agreed timelines.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC teams to achieve ≥95% acceptance of structural inspections on first submission.
  • Enforce structural safety requirements, contributing to zero structural failures below industry benchmark.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly site progress reports with 100% accuracy and timeliness.
  • Support resolution of structural design or construction issues on-site, ensuring ≥90% of clashes resolved before impacting schedule.

Minimum Recruitment Standards

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s is an advantage).
  • Professional registration (COREN, NSE, or equivalent) preferred.
  • 5–8 years’ site supervision experience, ≥3 years’ experience in structural works for high-rise or large-scale healthcare/complex projects will be an added advantage
  • Proficiency in structural analysis tools (ETABS, STAAD Pro, SAP2000) and construction software (AutoCAD, MS Project, Revit).
  • Strong technical expertise in reinforced concrete, steel structures, and foundation works.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
