We are a Software Development firm in Nigeria, currently embarking on a digital transformation program for a leading public sector organization in Nigeria. The initiative involves the design and implementation of multiple enterprise management platforms to modernize critical operations and improve efficiency, accountability, and compliance.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Solutions Architect

Location: Abuja (FCT)-  On-site, Hybrid
Employment Type: Contract, 6 Months

About the Project

  • We are embarking on a digital transformation program for a leading public sector organization in Nigeria.
  • The initiative involves the design and implementation of multiple enterprise management platforms to modernize critical operations and improve efficiency, accountability, and compliance.
  • We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to lead the overall technical design and ensure the delivery of secure, scalable, and integrated solutions.
  • The role requires a senior professional with proven experience in enterprise solution architecture who can operate under tight delivery timelines and coordinate across multiple development teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define the solution architecture and technical standards across all enterprise platforms.
  • Design and oversee shared services (authentication/SSO, notifications, reporting, OCR/document management).
  • Lead architecture workshops during the discovery phase (first 2 months) with the client’s ICT unit and stakeholders.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable system designs and integration blueprints.
  • Provide technical leadership to development teams and mentor Tech Leads.
  • Ensure compliance with national data protection laws and international security standards.
  • Review and approve technical deliverables (data models, APIs, integrations).
  • Support DevOps and Security Engineers in ensuring performance, availability, and compliance.
  • Serve as senior technical advisor to both the Client and Vendor Project Managers.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience: 10+ years in software engineering, with 5+ years in enterprise-level solution architecture.
  • Industry Exposure: Public sector, financial services, or other regulated industries.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong backend knowledge in Node.js/NestJS or Python/FastAPI.
  • Frontend frameworks experience (Next.js, TypeScript, TailwindCSS).
  • Database design with PostgreSQL or similar RDBMS.
  • Expertise with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong grasp of role-based access control, security architecture, and API-first design.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Skilled in facilitating workshops and requirement sessions.
  • Proven ability to mentor technical teams and maintain delivery quality under time pressure.

Availability:

  • Must be available full-time, with on-site presence in Abuja for the first 2 months (discovery phase), and a hybrid arrangement thereafter.
