Lumos is a market leader in Africa in offering affordable and clean solar energy to a pan-African potential market of 1.3 billion customers. Lumos Group has existed since 2013 and has deployed more than 200,000 solar home systems to SMEs and retail customers. In the last 1.5 years, Lumos has developed a new business strategy addressing both the changing customer needs and challenges in the industry. The change in strategy is successful and has resulted in a solid stream of sales. Based on this result, management has decided to expand the sales in 2024 and accelerate the growth.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Warehouse Driver

Location: Rumudara, Port Harcourt – Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time
Department: Operations

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely transport goods, and documents to designated destinations in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that vehicles are always kept clean, well-maintained, and roadworthy.
  • Carry out routine vehicle inspections before and after each trip (fuel, oil, tires, water, lights, etc.).
  • Promptly report any mechanical faults, accidents, or traffic violations to the supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate trip logs, mileage records, and fuel consumption reports.
  • Adhere strictly to all traffic rules and regulations, as well as company driving policies.
  • Assist with loading and offloading of items where required.
  • Ensure the security of the vehicle and any company property being transported.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company information and staff movements.
  • Perform any other related duties assigned by management.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum of SSCE certificate or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • 3–5 years driving experience (corporate or logistics environment preferred).
  • Good knowledge of road networks, routes, and traffic regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physically fit and able to work extended hours when necessary.
  • Punctual, trustworthy, and professional demeanor.
